Okay, so there was some pun intended in my headline. I wasn’t originally going to talk about content marketing for the dental industry. I was gonna go with construction today. But, since I was up all night with my tooth ache, and it now has to be extracted, I figured this would be a better direction.
I have worked for a few dental offices scattered across this fine country. I have done a lot of research on the topic, and quite frankly, I hate going to the dentist. But, I guess most Americans would rather do something else as well.
What you need to know:
Here’s the gist. If you’re a dentist, you’re in luck because you know that most people aren’t taking proper care of their mouth. Fact. So, there is a lot of useful content that you can sling to people who just don’t know any better.
This is going to be a short post, because I can feel the blood pumping through the left side of my bottom jaw bone. Ask yourself, because you are the expert, what do people need help with? What do you see on a daily basis that is really messing people’s mouths up?
Here are some topics that I’ve covered to get you started:
- Is scaling beneficial?
- Does scaling have any long term negatives associated with it?
- How to brush properly–yeah, I guess people still get this one wrong…
- The benefits of flossing.
- What is involved with a tooth extraction.
- Do you need a specialist for your tooth pain?
Please note that those were the topics covered, and not the headlines. You’ll need something a bit more catchy than that. The list is really endless. The best idea, is for you to take what you know, and look for popular keywords using the Google keyword tool.
Have fun and play around with it a bit.
